What it covers and whether it is required
A CSCS card is not generally a legal requirement, although site owners and principal contractors often require an appropriate card. It is not a company membership or a Building Regulations certificate.

Applicants must use the correct scheme and card category for their occupation and meet its qualification, training and health and safety requirements. A trainee or temporary card has a different meaning from a skilled worker card. Apply through the official route for the occupation.
